Cameron was born in Japan and raised in Alaska. From an early age, he was interested in art and the outdoors. Inspired by reading a book by Galen Rowell, a famous outdoor adventure photographer, Cameron picked up a camera and started taking photos.
He documented his first climbing expedition, while an assistant guide on Denali. He attended college at University of Utah, but dropped out in favor
of pursuing photography and climbing. One day, Cameron received a call from outdoor apparel brand, The North Face and received his first photo assignment – an opportunity to photograph a climbing expedition to Jannu in Nepal. This was the kick off to his photo career.
Over the years, his work appeared in major magazines and in advertisements for companies like Sony, Patagonia, The North Face, Columbia, Helly Hansen and Mountain Hardwear.
During this time, he started flying planes and attained both his commercial and instrument licenses. Eventually, this lead to a pilot position flying ski-equipped Cessna 185’s in the Alaska
Range for Talkeetna Air Taxi.
Most recently, Cameron started a business in Bozeman called TitanStraps. The product is now sold at major retailers across the US and in 9 different countries.
Cameron lives in Bozeman with his dog, Dodger.
